Modesto Junior College Emergency Response Team (ERT)

The ERT serves as a resource to the administrator in charge by responding to the emotional needs of individuals involved in, and affected by, an emergency. ERT members will also assist the Director of Public Relations in communicating up-to-date information about the emergency to students, faculty, staff, and families.

The ERT works closely with Yosemite Community College District (YCCD) and Modesto Junior College (MJC) administration to evaluate the responses to emergencies and to prevent or minimize the impact of a similar event in the future.

The ERT Plans for Emergencies

ERT members and YCCD/MJC administrators cooperate in Emergency Response Planning. Planning activities consist of developing procedures for emergency response, planning and arranging training/in-service for faculty, staff, and administration. The ERT identifies resources on and off campus, and locates facilities and equipment that can be used in an emergency.
