Welcome to Kimberly Manner's Home Page

I am an English professor at Modesto Junior College in beautiful downtown Modesto, California. Prior to joining the faculty at MJC, I was a graduate student in the English Department at the University of Southern California, where I also taught writing as I wrote my own doctoral dissertation on race and beauty in twentieth-century American literature by women.

Fall 2008 (Classes begin August 25, 2008)

English 101: Composition and Reading (Online)
For instructions on logging into Blackboard, go to www.mjc.edu and click the link for online courses (in the left-hand frame). If you are on the waitlist for this class, you can request an online addcard August 25 at www.mjc.edu/addcard/.
Students wishing to add: I will add students in the waitlist order from among the addcard requests I receive. You must request an addcard in order to move from the waitlist to the class. I will not add students after August 27.

Summer 2008 (Classes begin May 5, 2008)

Students wishing to add: I will add the first ten students in the waitlist order from among the addcard requests I receive on May 5. If there are still spots available on May 6, I will continue to add students in the order I receive the addcard requests. I will not add students after May 6.
