I am an English professor at Modesto Junior College in beautiful downtown Modesto, California. Prior to joining the faculty at MJC, I was a graduate student in the English Department at the University of Southern California, where I also taught writing as I wrote my own doctoral dissertation on race and beauty in twentieth-century American literature by women.
