- Learn how to use WebCT to post a class syllabus and/or handouts for any campus course
- Learn how to use the built in email and discussion tools available in WebCT
- Learn how to use the Calendar tool available in WebCT
- See a demonstration of some of the more advanced tools available in WebCT including;
- The Media Library
- The Announcement Tool
- The Assessments Tool
- The Web Links Tool

Using OmniUpdate to Create College and Division/Dep't Web Pages

OmniUpdate is a web content management system that is easy to use. Any authorized user could practically do it in their sleep! In this class you will receive hands-on training on using the OmniUpdate Work Flow Center, Web Page Editor and File Manager. Pre-registration is a must since the security setup must be done in advance before you can log into the OmniUpdate system.
Target Audience: Classified Staff and/or faculty who are responsible for maintaining Division, Department or Area web-pages. This system is NOT designed to host individual faculty web-pages.

Target Audience: Classroom faculty Using Turnitin to Prevent and Detect Plagiarism

In this presentation, faculty will learn how to use the resources available from Turnitin to teach students how to avoid committing plagiarism by using proper research and citation methods. In addition, the built-in plagiarism checking feature available in Turnitin will be demonstrated.

CurricuWeb - Web Based Software for Managing Curriculum Issues

CurricuWeb is MJC's custom-made, Internet-accessible curriculum management system. This system will allow faculty, staff, and administrators to modify or design curriculum from any Internet-accessible computer. The system will revolutionize the way curriculum is viewed, developed, and managed at MJC. Features include integrated friendly help, in order to help you make the correct decision about your curriculum, automated compliance updating, comprehensive alerts across the college, and wizards to help you avoid unnecessary work. Future phases will allow any person, whether an MJC employee or (for example) a curious prospective student from another country, to peruse the content of the active and archived MJC curriculum.
